Hello people. You may or may not know, but this site gets a decent amount page views per month, somewhere in the 100,000 large, give or take. The blog here on the home page is certainly a big piece of this. Therefore, I Calls to enjoy my traffic just a little bit this week. How? Just leave your site or blog article in the comments of your colleagues to visit.

But wait, there's a catch.

blogging Blogger, blogspot, make money blog

One of the questions I most often is how do I create a website? This question is a doozy for me, because I think it is important for a writer to have an online portfolio, but I also know that about a million ways to do so. Some people use their blogs to their home videos, others use a line of other services portfolio, and always use a good site faith. But how do they build? Are they themselves the code? Did they hire a web site service? Or they use

I have experience Web site creation, so I bought a very cheap domain through Godaddy.com. I think it cost me something like $ 50 per year. I used Dreamweaver to build a basic site.

But … if I do not know how to build a site, I would just create a WordPress blog on my own domain name and use the pages to information on writer.

Creation a blog is always complicated, but there are a lot of help from the web and it does add to the cost. Just the annual cost of domain is all you have to pay.

Hi Allena,

I followed your blog since I started freelancing a few months. No jobs in my kitty yet but I'm building my portfolio regularly writing for marketplaces.

The issues you mentioned are ones I asked myself. Some responses I developed. For now, since I am a beginner and concert Have not my name, I decided to use blogspot for my blog and portfolio of writing in blogs that are distinct. But I have given them consistency using the same model for blogs so that when someone clicks on one or the other, they will know that this is an extension of the site they were right.

I blogspot chosen because you can easily modify the model. And also because I know a little HTML and CSS anything and so I did not choose wordpress. There many websites that have blog templates.

Setting my blog and portfolio cost me nothing except time that I see as an investment in my company. I decided not to put something on my freelance business that I have not won it. For now, I am happy and satisfied with my writing blog and portfolio.

I hope this helps fellow writers who are just beginning.

I was fortunate to have a son who is in "all things web" and a very good friend with a knack for building sites. If not for them I would have gone with a GoDaddy domain name (I did) and their program tonight, web site, which is rigid, but not nearly so, and then click. 2.0 Our website will be wymj in a week or two and it seems so much better than the present!

While I could build a fairly complex site, I chose to print Vista to easily match my business cards and have something customizable but easy to update quickly. For $ 20 per month I can put PayPal buttons everywhere! I suggest you search for it occupied the writer, or writers who have no experience building website.
